A TestOut Continuing Education Carol

“I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!”
Charles Dickens' 1843 classic A Christmas Carol tells the story of a selfish and greedy man who learns the importance of kindness, compassion and generosity. The story takes place over the Christmas holiday, which seems to be loved by all but the money-obsessed Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge’s love for money far exceeds his indifference toward the welfare of the people around him. His misdeeds have led him to a place of utter loneliness.
That Christmas Eve night, Scrooge is visited by four ghosts. One of the ghosts is Scrooge’s former business partner, who warns him of the eternal chains he is forging. The other ghosts are of Christmas past, present and Christmases yet to come. The latter three ghosts take Scrooge on a journey that reminds him of what led to his greed, shows him the current joyful (yet dire) state of the people around him, and eventually reveals his looming demise. Spoiler alert: Because of these encounters, Scrooge is a changed man.
Scrooge learns a powerful lesson that completely changes his behavior from selfish and greedy, to compassionate and generous. This behavioral change didn’t come from the ghosts sitting him down and talking to him about the changes that needed to happen — rather, Scrooge's spectral instructors helped him experience the necessary lessons. Experience is always the best teacher.
Much like Scrooge’s journey that brought about great change in his life, there is a way for prospective IT professionals to go on their own learning journey toward passing certification exams.
