Which way to go?

The No. 1 movie in U.S. theaters this past weekend was Maze Runner: The Death Cure, which kinda makes sense. If there was an actual cure for death, then you'd expect that to be No. 1 on most people's "I gotta find out more about this" list. Of course it would be nice to cure, say, cancer — but death itself? That's gonna win you some hearts and minds.

Radiography, as you may or may not know, is the imaging technique by which projecting X-rays at an individual or object enables the creation of images that reveal that individual or object's internal structure.

This story begins earlier this year when Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, behind closed doors, either did or did not call his boss, President Donald J. Trump, a "moron." Tillerson is alleged to have disparaged the president in a meeting with national security personnel at the Pentagon in July. Since the incident was first reported by NBC News on Oct. 4, Tillerson has reiterated his support for Trump without precisely denying that he ever used the M-word.

Goblin Valley State Park at the edge of the San Rafael Swell in central Utah has a spooky, otherworldly atmosphere. The extraterrestrial vibe is so strong, in fact, that the makers of the Star Trek-spoofing comedy movie Galaxy Quest went to Goblin Valley to film the scene where Tim Allen's blithely inexperienced "crew" visits a strange planet to locate and recover a "beryllium sphere" to fuel the Thermian exploration vessel where they have become honored guests.

Studio musician and songwriter Gary DeCarlo departed this mortal coil at the age of 75, taking with him a small pinch of the infectious glee that accompanies the casual and typically unrepentant public revivals of his most famous creative work.
