Because TestOut is a super cool place to work, once a year in the waning days of summer, the entire company, including family members of all employees, goes to Utah's biggest amusement park for a day of family fun and prizes. Company leadership is so generous that they even give employees the day after Lagoon Day off from work. Let's face it, a day at the amusement park takes it out of you, you know? It takes time to recover from such hard use.
At any rate, the "day off from work," which is on top of everything else that company management has already given employees (including the cost of admission and parking, as well as two catered meals and heat-beating treats and drinks throughout the day), means that nobody is around today.
