Many of you reading this already have an IT certification or two (or three, or four). If you have at least one current certification, or know someone who does, then consider today's post a call to arms. We need you. We need your IT certified friend. We need everyone who has an IT certification. More precisely we need information. Not anyone's vital statistics, or their Social Security number, or the password to their bank account. And actually, it's not we or us in the sense of TestOut Continuing Education who are doing the asking. This is the classic case of asking for a friend.

I recently received one of those emails no one wants to find in their inbox. It was from Yahoo!, recommending that I change my password. Apparently, back in 2014, the info for 500 million users was hacked (Nice of them to tell me now! Who knows how many exiled Nigerian princes and Russian mobsters have already used my information to subscribe to Netflix.

Individuals across the globe are uniting their voices today in a cry for peace. Each year on Sept. 21, the Japanese Peace Bell is rung at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City to welcome in the International Day of Peace. The bell is cast from coins that have been donated by children around the globe. On the side of the bell are inscribed the words, “Long live absolute world peace.”

Eleven years ago, a little action blockbuster called Mr. and Mrs. Smith brought about a collision of Hollywood atoms that produced one of the most spectacular detonations in the annals of celebrity. Sexy superstar Brad Pitt, then married to Friends first femme Jennifer Aniston, abruptly left his wife to form the most blindingly glamorous showbiz supercouple since Bogey and Bacall by pairing up with his sultry Smith leading lady, Angelina Jolie.

On Sept. 2, the largest general strike in history happened in India when 185 million workers walked off the job. They were demanding an improvement in the rights of workers, primarily a monthly minimum wage of 18,000 rupees ($268 U.S.) and guaranteed pensions of 3,000 rupees ($45 U.S.).
