A friend and coworker of the IT Insights Blog Squad likes to begin the day with 32 ounces of the finest caffeinated beverage money can buy. Many of you out there might assume this would lead to a discussion of coffee, but you'd be wrong. Then, after thinking it over a bit, you would probably realize, "Ah, so he's a cola guy. Which is it, Coke or Pepsi?" This would also be wrong, and at this point the guessing would likely default to energy drinks like Monster and Red Bull.

As Real as Real Can (Almost) Be

Some of you out there have probably watched the "old" TV show Star Trek: The Next Generation. It's a successor to the even older TV show Star Trek. By the way, are we overexplaining this? It's hard to know. There are still Star Trek spinoff shows in production, after all, even if the newest (and only current) iteration of the long-lived franchise is locked up behind a paywall at CBS.com where only subscribers can actually watch it.

There's a new film about Mary Stuart, better known as Mary, Queen of Scots, that's set to be released on Dec. 7, exactly three months from today. Creatively titled Mary Queen of Scots, the historical epic will feature Irish-American actress Saoirse Ronan as Mary, and Australian actress Margot Robbie as Queen Elizabeth I, who was consistently antagonized by Mary's Catholic loyalists and survived numerous plots intended to elevate Mary in her place.

In the post-television age of streaming video in which we live, everyone watches everything online. Don't give me "cable channels" this, or "satellite package" that. Come on, people. It's 2018. TV is dead. Everyone watches everything online. If you can't watch all the old episodes on Hulu, or stream it on Amazon Prime, or burn through an entire season in three nights on ...
